Bookshelf Biscuits (Middie photos)
It's been cloudy.
It's been windy.
It's been sleeting.
It's been raining
... and then it's been raining and sleeting some more.
Seriously, I can't recall ever having experienced this miserable a month of May weather ways. Oh well, if we can't go outdoors and we're cooped up indoors, then we have to come up with some entertainment for ourselves, right?! We might as well catch up on some reading! My middie girls, Mindy and Kerry were helping me choose the next book to read:
Mindy was at first mainly interested in lounging on the books...
Kerry was disappointed that I didn't feel like re-reading the Percy Jackson series. That would've been totally her cup of tea!
She cheered up when she found Michael Sullivan's Riyria books though! Now there's something we could consider! :D
Mindy was hoping I'd read Pamela Freeman's The Castings trilogy to her.
The girls have been working hard, looking through the entire home library. A little break is in order!
There's a good view from this bookshelf to another one, so the girls were trying to read the titles from there.
I think we found the book we want to read!! It will be from Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series, a Wax and Wayne adventure II, Shadows of Self! One can't go wrong with Sanderson - it'll be sure to put us on a better mood! We conviniently have the part III waiting there too: The Bands of Mourning. We think this is the perfect pick for the rainy May. :)
