New Features
I did some modifications to this site today. As I already mentioned before, I was wanting this site be about creativity and the different artistic aspects to this hobby. The other objective on the site/blog was my wanting to showcase and feature my favourite BJD brand Impldoll and the versatility of their BJDs, that don't get maybe quite as much exposure around the western BJD community as some other companies dolls.
Inpired by the website of Martha Boers, a BJD crafts artist's website (http://www.antiquelilac.com/), I wanted to add some features to my own website as well. Martha's work has been a huge influence and inspiration to me. I have used her tutorials to learn new crafts and been long admiring her photography and skills in sewing and design. I'm nowhere near her level at any of my crafts, but it's where I strive to be some day.
I feel like my hobby has lately taken a turn towards crafts. I started doing face-ups a couple of years ago and I'm slowly beginning to reach levels where I'm feeling my work is getting borderline satisfactory in technique and finish. I also invested in a sewing maching last year and I've been learning to use it little by little. Some progress has been made, but there's still a loooooooong way to go. But that's just the beauty of this hobby!!! It's a never ending journey; there's always new skills to learn, new projects to tackle, new challenges to take up on!
