Ahhhh, HeadsHeads!
It's raining heads! I got this week with my Impldoll bearded Gnaeus head order (which contained the horrific face-up pearl), the freebie Idol Sophia head. I found it to be a little bit masculine, so I tried it on my Doll-Family A 62cm male body, which is also paper white like the Sophia head. Turns out the resin match is almost 100%! It's also got a perfect rotation with the neck and it's beautifully in proportion with the body! :) So, I'll be calling him Soren. He will be a fabulous companion for my Soom Heliot! :) I'm also hoping he will work well together with my upcoming white skintone DZ Minas and Riven, who have very small heads and slender bodies according to the DZ measurements. I also plan on giving him separate elf ears, so that he can be a delicate elf companion for my white yeti giant Chad. :) So, even if I'm going to have to re-do that face-up on that horrific Gnaeus head, at least I got a very lovely gift head which will work for me nicely. (Impldoll also took my feedback on the face-up gracefully. I hope they will have better quality control on their face-ups in the future.)
I also received a Spiritdoll Morus head today. I've never had a Spiritdoll before, so this was exciting to me. The quality is lovely and I find this sculpt very interesting. It's not quite perfect for the Popodoll 62cm body that I intended it for, but it's close enough. With a bit of sueding, I'll be able to get the neck junction working better, the resin match is ok-ish, maybe 85%, but it won't be problem after he gets his face-up. Morus is my first ever half-closed eyed BJD head. I'm quite excited to start working on him.
My Impldoll Nelson head (which I got in a trade from the US) is out of the Finnish customs and should be arriving home early next week. I'll have plenty of fun projects for future now with all these heads pouring in! :)
I also received Chad's weapons this week!! I found the perfect sword set to match the Yeti look I've planned for him. These are miniature swords from the Scorpion King movies. They came in a fabulously neat box and will be a great short sword and dagger set for my Chad! :D
