Skirtathon
Last Friday and Saturday I did some sewing for my 1/4 and 1/3 girls. I saw this wonderous pink and fluffy baby skirt in the local store last week and got the idea of turning it into a BJD skirt with very little effort. On Friday I took it up then and turned out I got a skirt out of the baby skirt for both my SDs and MSDs - A knee high one for SD girls and a full length one for MSDs.
Delighted by the results of the first experiment, I ventured out Saturday morning in search of more baby skirts and found 4 more suitable ones at price of 12€ each. Those I turned into:
- 2 x SD skirt
- 4 x MSD skirt
- 2 x SD dress
- 2 x SD straplesss top
So, I got 10 new BJD clothing pieces out of other 4 baby skirts!!! I was thrilled! And each BJD item ended up costing me less than 5€ and very little effort. :) Had I made all the ruffles from scratch it would have taken me endless hours, but now I had 10 new pieces of garments all ready in a couple of hours.
I already did a photoshoot with the identical fluffy pink skirts on my Dollmore girls Torrie and Skylar:
And another one with Gretl wearing the mint green little summer dress:
