Lies, Lies, Liesssssss....

I don't know where the Asian BJD companies come off thinking that lies are a good course of action. It does not inspire confidence, nor does it lure customers to return. I've had to deal with this lies issue on so many occasions with both Korean and Chinese BJD companies that it's not even funny. Maybe I'll list a few, just for the fun of it - cases that I know of that have happened to either me or my friends:

Angell-Studio:

-promised one could buy extra fantasy parts separately later when buying the doll, but took it back then when ready to place the order.

- lied about how few they had left of an LE doll to rush to buy, yet told someone else the truth. A year later they still had that doll.

Iplehouse:

-lied about a clothing item being the last ever to rush me to buy it with my last pennies, restocked it a couple of weeks later and it remained in stock then for a good loooong time

Glorydoll:

- bought a 800USD Limited doll, was lied to over the course of 8 months every two weeks that it would ship soon, but never did.

- Lied that there wasn't a problem, until 6 months into it, they confessed they're unable to make the body.

- Lied about returning the money and sending the head for free - didn't do either. No head ever came and had to get credit card company to retrieve the money and had to press criminal charges.

Impldoll:

-lied about Tdelia's much dark shiny skintone being their new normal tan. I've seen the old type of looking tan around later on plenty of times.

- lied about being able to do a custom face-up according to a sketch. It was like they'd never even looked at the picture.

- lied about shipping estimates this spring repeately, never quite being able to meet their own deadlines.

- lied about the brushing of the spear being the cause of the delay, yet they have managed to photograph, edit and upload to their website promo photos of their Giden and Aiden with brushed spears before mine, a spear that they've now been working on for 4 months.

Soom:

- ignored mails, then promised never to do that again, which was a big fat lie

- confessed to problem with fantasy parts after having seen photos provided, never got back about it after that

And many many more... I think in fact it's more of a norm than an exception. It's definitely not making the BJD buying process fun or leasurely, but quite the contrary. It's starting to be so stressful and aggravating, that I'm finally starting to learn my lesson and quitting the buying altogether.

So, what has finally made me see the light? Well, I used to be The Biggest Impldoll fan. I've spent 3500 USD on their products over the past couple of years, set up two fan websites for their dolls and praised them at every turn on any forum for their good customer service and beautiful dolls. Well, now they have now repeatedly disappointed me since 2014: an overly long wait for a mere head, Tdelia in the wrong skintone with the extra Akasha head that was only barely a match with body (too dark), then the sloppy nasty face-ups twice and now this ridiculous 4 month wait for white blank Chad and Adela and then the lies, lies, lies upon lies on top of it all.

LIES - A lovely reward for the years of loyal patronage.
