BJD crafts galore!!!
Been busy with crafts again this July! My BJDs are getting a load of new props and clothes. I did another collaboration with my dad: a desk/table and garden bench. I did some sketching and designing, dad did fantastic job on the woodwork and I'll be doing the finishing touches: sanding, staining/painting and such again.
I've also been doing some face-ups, mostly for the Mirodoll promo photos commission, but for my own amusement as well. Mirodoll asked me last March to take some photos for their website and potential pamphlet and I've been working on their promo photos for the last several months here. Just recently, I've been photographing their new sculpt Iris/Orlando (their pictures are already up on their website) as well as some of their other dolls. I'm getting to keep the dolls/heads I customised for the photos, which is awesome, as I've grown very attached to my new Miro lot over the course of the last half a year or so! It has been very inspiring and exciting to create looks and styles for Miro dolls! Mirodolls are popular mainly for their bodies, but I hope people will find, as I have, that they have wonderful full dolls as well, and the Mirodoll sculpts can have a lot to offer!
I've also done a face-up for my DF-H ZhuangYan II. The first yellow resin version turned into Yan already last summer, but now I customised the pink version head into a girl for the Mirodoll 70cm girl body. So meet Yin:
She's also wearing a 3-layer skirt that I made for her. I have a good load of frilly lacy white garments in works yet for her as well. She's also sporting my first ever tattoo on resin. Yin, the sweet vampire elf! ;)
