New Year's News!
Happy New Year to Anyone who happens to pop by here! My website has been running now for a year almost and I've had a lot of fun with both the blog as well.
So what's up for 2016?
* I have 4 more dolls coming for customization and photos from Mirodoll.
* My missing Bernice head is ready and shipping in a couple of days.
* My Eastern Light Studio cat is on order.
* I bought a new camera: Canon EOS 100D.
* My 70cm Mirodoll girl Iris is getting custom sized clothes from Plum Blossom's Closet:
* I made collages of my active BJD collection.
Mirodoll has sent the 3rd load of dolls for my to customize and photograph for their website. We've established a better communication now and the Mirodoll.com is looking pretty nice with lots more photos updated there. Winnie, Thunder and Lightning are still missing, new head photos and body photos as well, but pretty much half seems to be there now including some of my personal photos they requested for their banner. I should get the parcel with the dolls to work on early next week. They've already cleared the Finnish customs. Included in this lot will be: the 72cm giants Hector and Apollo, a dark chocolate 60cm Mika and the first of the XM brand a 60cm boy William. I'm very excited to start working on them. I'm hoping the temperatures won't go too freezing and stop me from doing face-ups... I've been wishing a 70cm tan Mika, but I'll get acquinted with this 60cm one now that coming with the work and see then if I want to order a 70cm one for myself some time later this year.
Impldoll updated me on the missing Bernice head situation today and her lovely little noggin' should ship in 4 days now! I'm so nuts about my Vanessa and Azalea that I can't wait to get her.
My Canon EOS 1200D has developed a little problem and I'm having to send it to the repair shop in the capital and goodness knows how long it's going to be there. So, I decided to invest in a slightly updated version and got myself a EOS 100D with a spare objective to go that was on sale right now. I'll be able to photograph then full steam even while my 1200D is getting the fix job done.
For the end of 2015, I did a little review on my BJD collection and made some collages. Dolls marked with a white dot are full dolls. Those with a grey dot are just heads. Here's the SD girl gang that is currently active:
The SD and 70+ boys:
My MSD boys and girls:
My tinies, anthros and micros are missing, but I thought I'd attempt a group shot with them soonish, because they don't have any floating heads I'd need to juggle with. They're all full dolls with their very own bodies. :)
Anyways, may another fabulous dolly year begin!! Onwards to new adventures....
