Mirodoll Sally and Peng with face-ups!

I did the re-stringing and sueding yesterday afternoon on my new Mirodolls. It was so windy all day that I had to wait until late in the evening before I could start with the face-ups though (I have so spray outdoors, you see!). It was at 3.40 a.m. when I was done with Sally. In the dead of the night I just snapped a couple of pics of her posing by my desk. I confess, I'm just nuts about this girl! I thought I managed to give her the look I was after: sassy, sexy, self-confident, a bit of a know-it-all even, risk-taker... That's how I see my Sally! :D I can't wait to do a proper photo session with her outdoors.

My Sally has the 62cm body in burnt sugar with the bigger bust. She takes a 8-9 wig and I like her best with 14mm eyes, I prefer oval eyes for her. Her eye sockets are bit shallow for round eyes, but with a good amount of eye putty, I was able to get her to wear normal round glass eyes as well. Her head rotation good (head tilts well even to the sides). It's solid robust resin the whole head. I managed to wool polish the sanding dust and marks out of her head and body quite nicely. I love this potent tan resin colour! The strong reddish undertone allows for various different camera settings (some tan resins end up looking green and I hate that! hehe!), makes it glow in photos and gives her a lovely warm look imo. :) I'm very very excited with my new girl! :D
I also re-strung, sueded and did a face-up for the 1/4 cutie boy Peng last night simultaniously with Sally. He's my first ever this scale boy from Miro. Lili and Yaya are super excited to have a brother! ;) I really like this delicately sculpted boy. He is wearing 12mm oval eyes and a 6-7 wig. He is a particularly pale patch of classic normal resin among my crew.

This new 44cm by body is nicely done for the most part. One of the arms on my boy needs to get wired, because the elbow joints tend to pop out of the socket when posing, but other than that he poses really well. My Peng head had a bit of a stargazing quality, so I hotgluesueded the neck. Now he looks down fabulously. There are several pegs for the s-hook inside the head though, which helps too. Sorry about the dark and inaccurate photos, it was closing in on 4 a.m. when I took these and I couldn't even see straight anymore at that point. Hehehe!
